The US government will invest $250 billion buying stakes in leading banks. This money will help healthy banks to continue providing loans to businesses and consumers and struggling banks to limit their losses. The US government will participate in several banks: Citigroup, Goldman Sachs, Wells Fargo, JPMorgan, Bank of America, Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley, State Street and Bank of New York Mellon Corp.
